Back To It

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the one day at a time podcast where we forget about yesterday. We don't worry about tomorrow. It's what are we going to do today? This all matters because you've only ever had or will ever have the fantastic twenty four hours a day you're about to embark on. Hopefully this episode is going to give you some daily dose of wisdom that you can take action on today to improve your life.

Speaker 1:

And remember, all it takes is one day at a time. Good morning. I'm back. Few days off over Easter, which was good. I hope you all had a had a break and just kind of chilled out.

Speaker 1:

The weather was kind of nice and then snowed. It was clean off. But the rest is the most important part. I feel good. I feel rested, I feel good.

Speaker 1:

And I don't regret eating any chocolate because why would I regret it? Why should you regret eating chocolate? Don't, it's gone anyway. Like it's easy to get on track for a few weeks and it'll be gone. And when you're 75 years old, you're not gonna go, Oh my God, you know that time I ate that chocolate in 2021.

Speaker 1:

God, I wish I didn't do that. You're not gonna think that are you? So don't worry about it. What is important to is to get back on and out, isn't it? Get back on get back on track and get back on doing some exercise, do something you know is gonna benefit you today because the more you leave it, the the more it's gonna build up momentum the wrong way.

Speaker 1:

So on Tuesday, I didn't feel the training at all. I just did a workout. I felt better for it. It's done building momentum. You gotta do that today.

Speaker 1:

Maybe some of you are back on it straight away. Maybe you didn't take Easter off and you went, boom. Monday came, you smashed it. But I know a lot of you, it's gonna be Wednesday now and you're gonna be feeling, oh God, I can't get back into it. The week's nearly over anyway.

Speaker 1:

Should I just wait till next week? No, don't wait till next week. Your task today is to do something you know that's gonna benefit you even if you don't wanna do it. So walking is great, okay? Do a workout is better because you get the endorphin rush.

Speaker 1:

Walking is amazing. Just get a walk in, do a workout, do a workout. Just track what you've eaten. Trust me, just track stuff. I know you don't wanna do it, but your phone is an amazing piece of technology.

Speaker 1:

You can track what you're eating in seconds. It's unbelievable. Just keep thinking about how unbelievable it is that you can track what you eat in seconds. And again, back in the day, have a clue what they were eating. They had to write all our stuff down on a piece of paper, look at the labels, write it down, work it all out.

Speaker 1:

You can do it very easily. Do utilize that. Drink a lot of water, something I haven't been doing over Easter and I feel terrible for it. So get your water in. Water is the lubricant of life.

Speaker 1:

So you need to get water in. We are 60% water. We do need water for literally every process the body has. So do not underestimate the power of H2O. And another thing I've noticed is like, do something that makes you laugh today.

Speaker 1:

Like honestly, was like having like on bank, all the East I was having such a laugh. It was so funny. Me and my friends, some of the family just laughing. Was like, even asked a question like, why do we laugh like do tigers laugh to other animals laugh because think they do maybe monkeys laugh but we do laugh and it makes everything better so if you are feeling a bit down like you know who's your favorite comedian put him on make him laugh who which one of your friends makes you laugh one of my get laughing because it does, it just kind of cures things. It resets things.

Speaker 1:

In my opinion, it can reset to you and make you think, you know, I was a bit stupid feeling sad about that. Just needed a bit of a laugh. So that's it for today's voice note. This is short one. Just got to build momentum really.

Speaker 1:

This is a reminder to do that today and don't let it go any longer. Do something your body is going thank you for exercise, walking, track your macros. I know it might not be the best day. You might not be feeling that you might not have the best diet today. Again, back into it, but just track.

Speaker 1:

Okay. You can do it and do something that's gonna make you laugh. Phone a friend that makes you laugh. Watch a comedian makes you laugh. YouTube videos, TikTok, whatever it is that makes you laugh.

Speaker 1:

Just do it. Right? And you'll feel a lot better. So the sooner you do it in the day, the better. And that's kind of like your one big thing.

Speaker 1:

Your one big task today is is completing those that trio of things. And then anything else you need to do, happy days. And that's it. Thank you for listening to the one day at a time podcast with your host, Galf Lier. Hopefully, you understood something I said.

Speaker 1:

I hope that some wisdom kind of distilled through into your mind, and I want you to now action it today. I don't want you to think about tomorrow. I don't want you to think about yesterday. I don't want you to think about leaving a review on this podcast. I don't want you to think about going to another website.

Speaker 1:

What I want you to do is as soon as this podcast ends, you will take action and make the most of today. Ground yourself today. Follow the one day at a time philosophy and your life will change.
