Quotes to Get You Back on Track

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the one day at a time podcast where we forget about yesterday. We don't worry about tomorrow. It's what are we going to do today? This all matters because you've only ever had or will ever have the fantastic twenty four hours a day you're about to embark on. Hopefully this episode is going to give you some daily dose of wisdom that you can take action on today to improve your life.

Speaker 1:

And remember, all it takes is one day at a time. Good morning you goons, how are you doing? I hope you're on your morning walk because the weather's actually back so make the most of it because the chances are I'll probably rain again next week. Anyway today's voice note is all about I'm going be hitting you with a lot of quotes that are related to health and fitness and stuff like that. Some might resonate some might not but today's about a day of understanding that we get the chance to exercise our body today.

Speaker 1:

Not many people do. Some people are injured, some people are ill health, some people, you know, have got disabilities, all this stuff. So if you're an abled body person, so you could just go and walk and exercise today and the sun's out, I want this to be a voice note that makes you realize how lucky you are so you go and make the most of today and make it an active one and make it a good one. So let me start off with my boy, Jim Rohn. And he says, take care of your body, it's the only place you have to live.

Speaker 1:

Jim, you're not wrong by until we turn into AI via Elon Musk. Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body. So remember again, 10 pages in. To enjoy the glow of good health, you must exercise. True.

Speaker 1:

True. True. True. Exercise to stimulate not to annihilate. The world wasn't formed in a day and neither were we.

Speaker 1:

Set small goals and build upon them. That's a good one. You don't have to go crazy in terms of your exercise. And that's from a Mr. Olympia Lee Haney, a time Mr.

Speaker 1:

Olympia. So exercise is stimulate. It does give you energy. Think about it. Sometimes you lower energy, exercise, you get more energy.

Speaker 1:

Be like I just use energy to exercise how does that work well sometimes your body just needs what it needs. True enjoyment comes from activity of the mind and exercise of the body the two are ever united. A lot of people are afraid of heights, not me, I'm afraid of wits. Guys, I'm reading these randomly so some of them might not work. Find fitness with fun dancing it is fun and makes you forget about the dreaded exercise.

Speaker 1:

Paul Abdul. Oh, that's okay class. Okay John F Kennedy okay here we go then, physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. JFK, mate. You're not wrong, bro.

Speaker 1:

The human body is the best picture of the human soul. Nice. Okay. Zoom are we we already out of court, you guys? Let me come back with a few more.

Speaker 1:

This is a good one, Jim Rohn. Some things you have to do every day. Eating seven apples on Saturday night instead of one a day just isn't gonna get the job done. Oh, I love him. He's he's what a what a what a what a wise block.

Speaker 1:

Basically, you can't just you can't really be, catching up in one day and doing the rest, not doing anything the rest of the day. It's gotta be, like you said, walking activity stuff. It's gotta be done on the daily. Hitting your protein's gotta be done on the daily. Well, getting your steps in has gotta be done on the daily.

Speaker 1:

Some form of exercise has to be done daily, but you have to move daily. And I think the steps covers that. That's important. A few more then on from gym row. Let's have a look.

Speaker 1:

We've got a Jim Rohn now. So giving you some fitness ones to think about. They weren't all that bad. They weren't all that good, were they? But some of them are good.

Speaker 1:

But some let's go back to Jim Rohn. Okay. If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they've planned for you? Not much.

Speaker 1:

Either you run the day or the day runs you. Happiness is not something you postpone for the future. It's something you design for the present right now. If you're not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.

Speaker 1:

If you don't like how things are, change. You're not a tree. It is the set of the sails, not the direction of the wind that determines which way you go. Nice. Nice Jim.

Speaker 1:

Effective communication is 20% what you know and 80% how you feel about what you know. Formal education will make you a living, self education will make you a fortune. To the Duanis voice can do it. The major value in life is not what you get. The major value in life is what you become.

Speaker 1:

You become healthy, happy people. We all must suffer one of two things, the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment. Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you. Let others cry over small hurts, but not you.

Speaker 1:

Let others leave their future in someone else's hands, but not you. Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you can't get more time. Is it? Whatever good things we build end up building us.

Speaker 1:

For every disciplined effort, there is a multiple reward. Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day. Success is not to be pursued it is to be attracted by the person you become. You must take personal responsibility, you cannot change the circumstances, the seasons or the wind, but you can change yourself. This is something you have charge of.

Speaker 1:

You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight. And I'll leave you on that one. So you can't change your destination. We can change your direction. I mean, not by today.

Speaker 1:

So some of you in a rut, some of you thinking, oh, god. What did I do? Take this as the day, one day at a time. Get today right. Repeat it again.

Speaker 1:

Like he says, success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines practiced every day, steps, macros, bit of water intake, maybe some exercise. It really is that simple, guys. You have to yourself every day of, like, as a priority. That is your main why, really, and then everything else will settle in. And, I'm gonna leave you with that.

Speaker 1:

So enjoy your day. Hope you had some of them resonated. And, yeah, just take things, one day at a at a time, and I'll be back tomorrow potentially more quotes from something else. Ta da. And that's it.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for to the one day at a time podcast with your host, Galf Lier. Hopefully, you understood something I said. I hope that some wisdom kind of distilled through into your mind, and I want you to now action it today. I don't want you to think about tomorrow. I don't want you to think about yesterday.

Speaker 1:
