Introduction

Speaker 1:

Welcome to the one day at a time podcast where we forget about yesterday. We don't worry about tomorrow. It's what are we gonna do today that's all the matters because you've only ever had or will ever have the fantastic twenty four hours a day you're about to embark on. So hopefully this episode is gonna give you some daily dose of wisdom that you can take action on today to improve your life. And remember, all it takes is one day at a time.

Speaker 1:

Hello everyone my name is Scoflia, welcome to the one day at a time podcast where I'm going be distilling wisdom and information on how to live healthier, more fulfilled life, right? To start with and I fully believe this, the cornerstone of improvement in all other areas of your life is to look after your own health. Then this is mental health and physical health. So this podcast, these daily notes, these daily doses of wisdom will be helping you in terms of managing your weight, muscle building, performance related stuff. Then we're going to move on to more of the psychological stuff.

Speaker 1:

How are you going to stop the cravings for all your favorite foods? How do you stay on track? How do you not lose motivation? Can you not lose motivation? Is that possible?

Speaker 1:

And also looking at other philosophical schools, you know, looking at stoicism, looking at Buddhism, looking at all these lessons that are out there in the books of the world and the experts of the world. I'm fortunate enough to work with world leading experts on a weekly basis and I learn so much from them and I distill it into a more bite sized manageable chunks so people can take home the key messages and apply it to your life. There's no point reading more books if you're not going to take practical, like lessons from them, because you're reading for the sake of it. It's like same as watching TV. You know, I've come across sometimes when I'm just reading, I'm reading for the sake of him.

Speaker 1:

Like, I just reading to waste time or am I reading for practicality to improve my life? So that's the important thing. So the gist of this podcast is to keep you on track. Remember, the one day at a time philosophy, every day you're going to be reminded one day at a time. That's all it takes.

Speaker 1:

Right? It sounds simple, but there's so much confusion in terms of how like, I want to live in the present moment, how do I do that? Well, you're not going to just live in the present moment by just saying it. You need the tools and strategies which I'm going to teach over these voice notes on how to actually, you know, live one day at a time and what can you do within those days, those moments, those tasks to actually live and be fulfilled on a daily basis. And if you are fulfilled on a daily basis, that's basically fulfilled in your life because your life is only made up of twenty four hours a day.

Speaker 1:

That's the only time you've ever had and will ever have. You're not gonna have more than that. You're not gonna have less. Everybody has twenty four hours a day, magically appears in their purse of wallet every day. And it's a really, really it's literally the ideal democracy in our way where everybody has the same twenty four hours.

Speaker 1:

So what are you gonna do with your twenty four hours is the question. And what can you do and how can you maximize life in those twenty four hours without the feeling of anxiety, without the feeling of stress from thinking of the future and the past? Can we eliminate that by living in the present moment? Yes, we can. And that's what this podcast is all about.

Speaker 1:

So do subscribe. It is a daily show, which I used to do to the Live Like Louise community exclusively, but I'm opening this out. I will reference the challenges and the workouts and stuff we do, but it's going be applicable for all. Hope you stay about. If you do like it, give it five stars obviously.

Speaker 1:

And, if you haven't understood a word I've said because of my accent, well, I'm sorry, you either have to get used to it or what is most people will be shocked at you're gonna actually have to lower the speed of these podcasts down to 0.5. Usually people do it to two x. Maybe on this one you bring it down to 0.5 x, so it is a normal two x. That's it for today. See you in the next voice.

Speaker 1:

And that's it. Thank you for listening to the one day at a time podcast with your host, Scott Fleer. Hopefully you understood something I said. I hope that some wisdom kind of distilled through into your mind, and I want you to now action it today. I don't want you to think about tomorrow.

Speaker 1:

I don't want you to think about yesterday. I don't want you to think about leaving a review on this podcast. I don't want you to think about going to another website. What I want you to do is as soon as this podcast ends, you will take action and make the most of today. Ground yourself today.

Speaker 1:

Follow the one day at a time philosophy, and your life will change.
